Reading the enthusiasm of Neil R Lightfoot for ancient manuscripts was such a blessing knowing there are men out there still looking into the authenticity of the Bible while still having a steadfast faith in Jesus. How we got the Bible isn't a straight forward and simple answer but this book shines light and answers questions for those who are truly interested in the many steps that were taken for us have the Bible we read today.
This book gives many scholarly details, descriptions, and history on how we can know that the Bible is truly the word of God. It gave me a better appreciation of the Holy Spirit and what his role is, and was helpful in bringing me the understanding that the Bible we have today went through many stages to come to what it is today. The book also gives a summary and questions for discussion at the end of each chapter.
