The Mission at Carmen Serdan

We arrive at the facility in time to prepare lunch and begin to care for the residents. This is an orphanage for special need adults and our goal is to relieve the staff from their duties for the weekend. We will cook, clean and help care for the residents as well as assist with various needed projects on the site.

Saturday evening, we will gather together with the staff for a devotional, worship and prayer. Sunday morning, we will prepare breakfast and depart at 8am. Our last stop will be in town for lunch and shopping. We will depart for the border at 11am, arriving back at the church at approximately at 5pm.

Rancho De Los Niños

If we have enough volunteers on the trip, we will divide the group and assist at a second orphanage. This facility is approximately 20 minutes away from the main orphanage. It houses approximately 60 children ranging in age 1 to 18 years of age, and 11 special needs adults. The volunteers will spend Saturday cooking and participating in activities with the residents.
