Welcome to Calvary Pico Rivera's Nursery

A place where your children are cared for as Jesus cares for His flock.
 Psalm 23:1-2

Hi, I’m Maria! I’ve been part of the Calvary Pico Rivera family since 2016, and I absolutely love ministering to people of all ages. My husband, Ed, and I enjoy serving in ministry together—it’s such a blessing to walk this journey side by side. We have five wonderful adult children, and before retiring, I spent many years as an elementary school teacher. I look forward to caring for your little ones and making them feel safe, loved, and nurtured!

Preparing Yourself and Your Child for the Nursery

  • We are here for you and your child and will do our very best to care for them while you receive what you need from the Lord.
  • Some children may experience a transition period with crying, but we strive to comfort them and learn about their interests and needs. If your child remains unsettled, we will text you.
  • Feel free to bring comforting items, such as a favorite stuffed toy, blanket, special snack, or bottle.
  • Please inform us of any physical or emotional challenges your child may be experiencing (e.g., teething, recent vaccinations, diaper rash, or loss).
  • For safety, the same person should sign in and pick up your child unless you notify us via text or phone call.
  • If your child is feeling unwell, we encourage you to keep them with you or stay home until they are better.

Announcements
  • On sunny days, we will use the outdoor jumper.
  • Our regular snacks include Cheddar Goldfish Crackers for toddlers and Gerber Puffs for younger children.

Nurturing young lives to worship the Lord.
