Pastor Danny Jacobo
Danny Jacobo is the senior pastor at Calvary Pico Rivera in Pico Rivera, California. Born in 1973, raised in the city of Pico Rivera, and now residing with his wife and 3 children in Whittier. Pastor Danny was married in 1993 to his wife Julie. He received the Lord in 1993 and has served in various ministries at CC La Mirada, and was Youth Pastor for 4 years at CC Hacienda Heights.
Pastor Danny attended and completed the Calvary Chapel La Mirada Bible Ministry School in 2003. He and Julie, along with others began a prayer meeting and Bible Study in the summer of 2005 on the Smith Park benches, and Julie doing Children’s Ministry on a blanket. Julie continues to oversee the Children’s Ministry and now oversees the Women’s Ministry as well.
Our Pastor’s heart is to have an impact within the community helping people come to know God personally through a relationship with Jesus Christ. They are committed to the work that is going on and looking forward to what the future is going to bring.

Julie Jacobo
Julie Jacobo was born and raised in the city of Santa Fe Springs until the age of twenty when she and Pastor Danny married and moved into their home in Whittier. After recommitting her life to the Lord in 1991 she quickly got herself involved in Children’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel La Mirada.
Her passion for Children’s Ministry continues to this day. She served as Children’s Ministry Director in Hacienda Heights for four years. When CPR started in 2005 in Smith Park, she took out a blanket and began teaching the children of the church nearly from day one.
Julie continues to oversee both Children’s Ministry and the Women’s Ministry. She has an incredible ability to minister to children and ladies alike and pour her heart into them as they endeavor to be more like Jesus.

I am a Jesus loving 49ers fan! I grew up as a young kid in the city of Pico Rivera. Both of my parents graduated from El Rancho HS. At the age of 10, my family moved out to the city of Fontana where I was raised.
After making many mistakes in life as a young adult that got me incarcerated, I decided to come back home to Pico Rivera and watch God slowly put the broken pieces of my life back together. I met my wife Reina in this city and together we raised 3 kids who are all now adults. We have a special needs daughter and two sons.
After spending time at several different churches, we found our church home at Calvary Pico Rivera and got plugged into ministry. Through the years I have served in several different ministries such as Pico Gardens and youth.
I am currently on staff as an assistant pastor overseeing various aspects within the church including finance, griefshare, prayer counselors and bible teacher. I have a great passion for Bible prophecy and end times as well as ministering to the people of God in any way that He allows.

Pastor Gerry
Gerry Galvan's journey with the Lord began over twenty years ago while attending services with his family at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs.
As time went on, the Lord moved him and his family to the City of Pico Rivera and eventually to Calvary Pico Rivera.
It was during this time when Pastor Gerry felt the need to further equip himself and enrolled in the Bible Ministry School at CC La Mirada.
Pastor Gerry is currently serving at Calvary Pico Rivera as the Spanish pastor and resides in the City of Whittier with his wife Terry and their three children; Michael, Edward and Katelyn.

Pastor Russ Bicad
My name Is Russell Bicad Im married to my wife Lola and we have two Children Lydia and Roman Bicad.
I believed in Jesus at an early age but walked away from The Lord in my teen years. It was on good Friday of 2017 when I realized I needed to rededicate my life to the Lord and be restored.
I would soon get involved in various ministries over the years Ushering, Sound wave and closing up the church until I believed the Lord planted in my heart the calling to teach the word of God.
Shortly after I would take on the task of overseeing the Young adult ministry where me and my wife currently serve together.

My name is Steve, and I’ve been happily married for over 20 years to my amazing wife, Maureen. We have five incredible kids and live in Pico. I love playing golf, but more than anything, I love seeing God move in people's lives.
When we first started going to church, my wife and I went through a difficult season in our marriage — but by God’s grace, He restored us. That was the turning point in my life. I surrendered fully to Christ and began serving in youth ministry.
I’ve always had a heart for the next generation — to be the leader and example I never had growing up. Now, I live to pour into youth, share the Gospel, and walk with them through real life with real faith.

Pastor Vic & Vera
Pastor Victor and his wife, Vera, enjoy working with their Jr. High class. They both grew up in Pico Rivera and met while volunteering in our Children's Ministry.
His life verse is John 15:16 and her life verse is Lamentations 3:19-27. They hope to encourage their students with the love of the Lord, a desire to know God's Word, and to be a blessing wherever they go.
Marriage Ministry Leaders
Tury & Maria Chavez
Tury and Maria have been married for 20 years and have been leading the Marriage Ministry at Calvary Pico Rivera since 2022. They have attended Calvary for twelve years and have two children, Emma and Caleb, who also serve in ministry.
Their heart is to see marriages strengthened through God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. Drawing from both the blessings and challenges in their own marriage, they desire to encourage couples, whether married or engaged, to build Christ-centered relationships that honor God.
Their goal is to help others grow in love, grace, and intentionality as they pursue God’s design for marriage.

Hello, my name is Paul,
It wasn’t until later in life that I surrendered to Jesus. I was seeking fulfillment in everything the world had to offer only to find myself empty and overwhelmed. Everything changed when I experienced the grace, compassion and love of Jesus. He didn’t just forgive me, He gave me a new purpose.
Today, I'm grateful that I get to serve in the very community I call home. I am also blessed and privileged to teach Men’s Bible studies and walk alongside others on their journey with Jesus. God has used my past to reveal His power to redeem and restore. My struggles have become a bridge that helps me connect with men facing their own challenges.
I believe God has a purpose for every man no matter his past. My heart is to encourage men to walk in the freedom and identity found only in Jesus. If He changed my life, He can change yours too.

Hey I'm Caleb! I’m a worship leader who’s been singing worship songs since I was 7 years old. I grew up in church and stepped into leading worship at the age of 13 for my dad’s church — and I’ve been doing it ever since.
I'm so blessed to be a part of Calvary Pico Rivera, and my heart is always to point everything back to the Lord. Whether it’s through music or everyday life, may He get all the glory.
