Although Calvary Chapel is not considered a denomination and not every Calvary Chapel is the same I would highly suggest this book to anyone who calls a Calvary Chapel home. Knowing our statement of faith, General take on ministry and Pastor Chuck Smiths personal stories of his experiences in other church settings and How the Holy Spirit guided him on how to conduct a church and how a church should operate.
What impressed me about this book was the way the Lord revealed these distinctives to Pastor Chuck Smith. Someone who would not try and take credit for anything that brought success to Calvary Chapel of his own doing, but points out what God has done, the power of the word, and the work of the spirit.
Calvary chapel Distinctives is a great book where Pastor Chuck Smith breaks down how the Lord thought the holy spirit inspired him to teach the Bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse.and to love and restore lifes thought God's word grace and mercy. How to keep order in the church and never to take the glory from God. Always stay focus on Jesus christ are savior.
